Should I chase Barclaycard for a goodwill gesture?

Hi all,

After successfully using this site for advice to claim my miss-sold PPI on a Goldfish Card, I have now had my Barclaycard miss-sell complaint upheld, too.

BUT....I have held the Barclaycard since March 1994 yet their offer is based on the period 2005 to 2013 and is for £800.

I have no statements prior to 2005.

Te FOS recommended I ask Barclaycard for a "goodwill gesture" covering the 10 year period from '94 to '05....but is it even worth tapping this letter out?

Anyone with any similar experiences??

Yes I would certainly give it a go, better than nothing and I believe banks/businesses have paid out from a certain date, so if the years have gone by maybe 10 years is a sufficient time for them to backdate to plus interest, it will I expect be a surprising amount.

I would write and ask them to do this on a goodwill basis if they no longer hold any information beyond that, and state you were suggested to to this by the FOS.
