I compalined to Welcome about PPI/LIFECARE nearly a year ago, they ignored every letter and call,I wrotwe to the FOS who advised to use the FSCS who have advised they cannot deal with it as post 2005? its may 2005! Welcome now want me to resubmit my complaint after they found ppi on a laon from 2004! im being given the run around by everyone!!! what do I do?? also am i likely to be able to claim the same rate of intereston ppithat they charged or just 8%?

Also my first loan was 500 although they indicvated it had ppi of 105 and a written off amount of 145....they say they can use some of the ppi to offset the write off but the write off was a refund of charges int he first place! actually tearing my hair out with this one! any advice people?!

Bluestar that is a load of rubbish from the FSCS who deal with claims from 14th January 2005.

Having read what Welcome have said then they may be treating it as a continuous PPI ie that loan followed loan after loan which included PPI.

First of all Clarify with Welcome whether they are dealing with all loans even post January 2005 with regards to PPI or only the loans up to the one for 2004.

Once you have then either deal with Welcome or speak to the FSCS and advise that you have spoken to x person(take the person's name) at Welcome and they are dealing/not dealing with x claim but that they have stated that z claim must be dealt with via FSCS.
