About 3 months ago (without doing any research) I contacted investorcompensation.co.uk (in Keighley) regarding missold PPI on my 2 Barclaycards. I did not contact Barclays direct.
Today I received an offer direct from Barclaycard for £247 for one of the cards explaining that if I have utilised a 'representative' to act on behalf of my claim they will not be liable to any charges by another company.
investorcompensation have repeatedly e-mailed me saying that it is imperative that I do not accept any offer from Barclaycard and that I should forward any correspondence from Barclaycard to them. The do admit though that they take 50% of any settlements gained and that I would be in a breach of contract with them if I accept a direct offer from Barclaycard without telling them.
Has anyone else been in the same position or can anybody give me advice? I know that I am at fault for not doing my homework!
Many thanks.
