  • 3rd attempt at reclaiming PPI from YEs Car Credit

    Hya

In 2007 and 2008 I tried to get help in reclaiming PPI from Direct Auto Finance, I tried the Ombudsman, Trading Standards and the Office of Fair Trading, who wouldn't take my complaint as I bought the car in 2004, before the FSA regulated this.

Although I am quite clear in that I was told the PPI was not optional. DAF tell me my recollection is not vivid and the fact I ticked some boxes and signed the declaration means they find my PPI was sold fairly.

I see some people on here have won cases but I think these contracts were taken out in 2005, when regulations were in place?

PPI have my paperwork but no information on the PPI at all, just a leaflet. The payments are broken down on my loan agreement though so I know they got the money!

I'm not sure if I need to do and SAR or if the questionnaire will be enough for them to consider it again?

Any advice appreciated, they really ripped me off, I've kept the paperwork all this time in the hope I can reclaim from them.

    i allways say

go for yes car, now provident

yes car sold the policy so they have a fiducary duty in this

work out your total loss and give a 14 day letter before action for a small claims action

      Thanks,

I guess I should send the SAR request then so I have the full picture? Small claims is quite daunting, do you know if many people have success?
