It's lloyds who in the main are rejecting cases that should be upheld. Don't stop if you get rejected, take it to the fos. I send all info to the FSA so they are firmly in the picture on what this firm is upto.

Yes, actually this was put off to the following week for some reason i.e., the 31st October - maybe appropriate inasmuch as it was Halloween! Also as already said, Lloyds seem to be the worst of the lot! It also appears that 98% of the cases are upheld - apologies if I duplicated the post about this. Am now in the process of writing yet another letter to them on behalf of my other half who has had the ppi on his loan paid out but yet they are refusing to do on his ppi - makes no sense!

Tell you what else struck me on a different topic in that episode. A gas fitter endangers peoples' lives and gets £500 fine. A bloke puts down dodgy drives and gets £1000 fine. Where's the sense in that?

Yes agreed absolutely, no sense whatsoever, but that applies to a whole lot of crime and punishment cases unfortunately!

FWIW, I am helping a friend with a LTSB claim, and they have refunded PPI on a fixed loan, but denied mis-selling PPI on a credit card - which was sold simultaneously with the loan. Wrote to the CEO, and have at least got a response - but still a denial.

Bill that's exactly the same for us, we got the ppi back on the loan and denied on credit card both signed for on the same day in same branch. It's now with the FOS, fingers crossed were one of the 98%

Oh this is very interesting indeed and will be even more interesting to see what the FOS makes of it. I am writing just one more letter in an attempt to get it sorted before resorting to the FOS

Considering the time it is currently taking the FOS to deal with PPI claims, I would certainly try and exhaust every other avenue with LTSB first, Daisy.
