  • Help with Egg PPI / info request

Hi there, I recently wrote to Egg to request a copy of my credit application/terms and conditions and enclosed the £1 fee as recommended. They responded to say that as the account is closed (and old loan paid off in 2007). I therefore wrote back to them and requested a full SAR of all the information they hold about me, specifically relating to this loan and a credit card (sold to barclaycard last year).

They cashed my £10 cheque but seem to have passed the request to Barclaycard as the information I have received is from them and replicates all the information Barclaycard have sent me previously from an earlier SAR that I sent direct to them. I therefore still have no information from Egg about my old loan as obviously barclaycard could provide no information as they have had nothing to do with it.

My question is where do I stand with this at the moment? I am unhappy that Egg have passed by SAR request to Barclaycard (as I have effectively paid them £20 now and have no additional information for this benefit!). I also still have no information about the Egg loan as they appear to be refusing to supply me with details.

Any help/advice about what to do next with this matter/who to complain to would be much appreciated!! Thanks
