  • PPI Lowell Barclaycard LPF (turbo di30 Bill K )

    Hi
Through having a few problems with Lowell I dug out some old papers from Littlewoods personal finance and Barclaycard I did not realise the account had PPI I have been on Dmp for 3 years the account was supposedly sold to Lowell in 2010 they are now being awkward and refusing to accept my reduced payments hence the rummage through my paperwork
Could you give me some advice on claiming back the PPI and who to write to first and what to tell Lowell on the meantime

Blimey, so sorry to have missed this.
Did you make a start with this one in the end?

You pursue the ones who set up the account, so not Lowells, as they did not set up the account, but the fact you have ppi and now on DMP, the ppi is worthless to you, so it's definately worth trying to make a reclaim, either from when you first went into difficulties, or if you have reasons to believe it was mis sold, then go all the way.:tinysmile_grin_t:

Blimey from me too, Winner. This got missed completely, it seems. If this happens again, PM one of us and/or shout in the ChatBox. Yes - as Di says - you lodge the claim with those who sold you the PPI, ie., Littlewoods. Claim it as mis-sold if you believe it may have been (and it is generally accepted that it very likely was) - and await their response. If they do not accept mis-selling, I would be inclined to keep up the pressure, but maybe THEN add the DMP issue as a 'fall-back' position. Once you have an admission of mis-selling - or an offer of any kind - you can then check if this is adequate.

Turbo and I will be glad to help you with this aspect, but it will need adequate records, as you will need to list all the PPI payments made - and any penalty charges made, as they may also be refundable. If you have adequate records, then you can get a start on this right away with the attached spreadsheet. If not, then you can send Littlewoods a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) which costs £10, and should get you copies of your statements going back at least over the last 6 years.

If I EVER ignore you again, rattle my cage !!!
