    HELP

I had a shop direct account which was sold to Lowells around eighteen months ago - I have been paying Lowells the balance of £1500 by direct debit and have £443 left to pay .

however I believe much of the balance that was sold to Lowells was made up of ppi and charges and want to try and claim this back

I have no idea who to turn to - I have asked Lowells to provide my full account history but they are just stalling me over and over again .

I have sent a postal order to littlewoods and asked for the full account history and they have not provided it

Who should I be trying to reclaim the money from - Littlewoods or Lowells

Any help would be greatly appreciate - I would like to get rid of the balance and if there was any more due , hopefully get a bit back as well

Hi and welcome, Miss U. Have a read in our PPI section - you'll find a guide to reclaiming.

    http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...ASE-READ-FIRST

Initially, you should claim from Littlewoods, as they are the firm who actually mis-sold the PPI to you. If you need to get your account records from them, then you should send a Data Subject Access Request letter with a £10 fee. They are legally obliged to comply with this, and cannot refuse it without a very good reason. If they return the fee, that does not absolve them of their rersponsibility to comply.

      Hi and welcome MissU.

I currently have a case going with littlewoods now, so what you do is pursue Littlewoods, and they pass the details of your complaint on to ShopDirect, I'm actually expecting a decision by next week (they already had 8 weeks) but requested for a further 4, so see what that brings.

Mine is in relation of PPI, there's a few hundred there to reclaim, and from what I know of they should also include the basic interest as well.

I have also SAR'd them, and received all my information, so as Billk says, it maybe a good idea to start with a SAR, if you do not have any paperwork in relation of the account.

Also if you require the addresses, please let me know.

      Good luck.

        Hi folks, update

Claim rejected very quickly by shop direct in December.

Decided to persevere and wrote to chief executive alex baldrock's office telling whole story , now approximate three weeks later received letter saying they will uphold my complaint and refund £1337, lowells still due the £443, so cheque due to come to me for £890

Let's just hope it does !!!
