ppi and account numbers

my daughter in law has asked natwest for info re accounts that may have ppi there reply was they do not have account details and have asked her for them which she no longer has question is do they have to supply details or dos she need to SAR them if so how far back will they have to provide these for or is there any other way to get the info

i would say DSAR

but all the bank would have to say is they only have to keep details for six years after an account has been closed

we know that is crap as they will allways hold any data

send the DSAR and see what they come back with as they have a legal obligation with the request to supply all data

Hi there
A SAR will help, and to track down account numbers, if any statements maybe put away check them, because the bank statements usually disclose details of the lender, next to the monthly amount, including the loan account number.
If still bank with the same bank, and has online banking, this may allow her to go back maybe 7/8 years on statements, it can vary from one bank to the other.
