AT LAST!! the fine is not enough though. However maybe that will at least make others think more carefully before anoying us.....

This will be hopefully the first of many and I hope that £250k fine will be a deterrent from them + others continuing to do this. I know from our recent MOJ meeting that they were working together with other government offices trying to clamp down on these awful companies that send out these text messages. Unfortunately, some of them work outside the UK so they are harder to stop and as soon as one is erradicated another pops up.

These text messages are random and they do not have any of your personal details despite advising that you have a sum of money to be returned to you is utter nonsense. DO NOT ever respond to them or send the stop message as that alerts them that you have read the message and they will then pass your details to a CMC who will pester you like mad and then that number will go to other organisation to tap you for cold calling purposes like double glazing etc....

Oh dear, seems like they thought £250,00 wasn't enough of a deterrent.
