    Hi there all

    Looking for some solid advice I had 15000 pound loan from lloyds Tsb paid 5000 back before I was made redundant asked to claim the ppi to cover monthly payments they told me wasn't worth claiming after a while they paid 1 month but i was still 2months behind got new job and started paying monthly payments then got letters for missed payment long story short stopped paying loan after long arguments with lloyds as they said I could add missed payments at end of period then started chasing me for 3 months missed payments now debt has been transfers to company called wescot so debt has been sold on am I able to claim ppi or is that being too cheeky debt is 5 yrs old any advice appreciated

    You can certainly put in a claim for ppi. As far as the rest of the debt is concerned, you need to get to somewhere like CAB, CCCS, Payplan etc.... to see if you can't come up with some mutual agreement whereby they freeze ALL interest and charges in return for an affordable payment from you. You should include any other debts you have while doing this and get a Common Financial Statement completed.

      Hi Alby, and welcome to you. As Labman says, you should be able to reclaim mis-sold PPI. If this is upheld, then they will usually offset this against whatever arrears are remaining. If the debt has since been sold to a DCA, this should not detract from your entitlement. But don't expect a quick result.

        Hi thanks for that reason I was asking had 3 previous loans that got paid off but might just leave the claim sounds a lot of hassle lol
