    Re: My lifestyle case

It is not when you made the payment the clock starts ticking but when you were made aware you were not going to get the service you paid for, that imo is when you knew they had gone into administration.

If you paid by Credit Card then, contact you CC provider and claim under section 75, because you never received a servce.

Correct. ''There is also a time limit on claims - typically 120 days which starts from the day you become aware of a problem.''

            Re: My lifestyle case

i said this to natwest yesterday(about the 120 days),but they said because my initial payment was more than 540 odd days ago, that i could not claim.
This doesnt sound right to me and there is no information saying this on there website.
As you said,i did not know that i would not be receiving the product until they went into admin,so surely i have a case to go for chargeback?

What if my claim is rejected?

If your Chargeback request is rejected by your card issuer then you are entitled to be told why.
However, as the Chargeback scheme is not supported by any legal obligation you may struggle to force the bank to overturn their initial decision.
If you feel that your claim has been poorly treated then you are still free to complain to the bank about the process and ultimately take your case to the Financial Ombudsman.
However, you can’t take your bank or card provider to court over failing to honour a Chargeback as there is no legal backing to the scheme.

What about also writing to the CEO of NATWEST and requesting his help in obtaining a refund, it is worth a try if all else fails.

Great job and how long did that take you and how long did Lifestyle have your money. It just shows what a scam they had going.

                            Well done D1anne,

It was always tricky with Lifestyle Claims and you are one of the lucky ones who were able to recover their money back from them. I will ask one of our PPI specialists to look at you thread and see if they can help you.

As you may or not be aware Lifestyle Claims have now gone into administration and what I dont understand is that once they took upfront fees, why did they proceed in obtaining the refund back for you in accordance to the whole reason that they took upfront fees to recover this for you. It beggars belief as I thought all along they just take the money and do no work.
