• PPI Claim 2nd letter

Hello, my first post on this site.

In January, I followed the advice on this site and requsted a copy of a card contract/application form on behalf of my wife.

I have recieved the contract and note that it was completed in store, none of the writing on the form is my wifes.

With this in mind, do you feel that this opening statement in the second letter is ok before i send it. This is not the entire letter and it is copied from this site and re hashed.

I have been looking at my agreement with you, reference above and have noted that I purchased Payment Protection Insurance from you.

I am now of the belief that I was mis-sold this policy as having recently looked at the paperwork for my credit card I now realise that I have been paying for insurance that I did not know I had taken out, or whether or not it was mandatory. With this in mind, I could not have had the policy properly explained to me, nor do I believe that the agent who sold me the policy had any suitable financial background and therefore they were not in a position to sell the policy in my best interests in the first place.

Thanks in advance for ay feed back.

    Hi and welcome

Yes that is fine, as long as you covered all ground that applies, also if the policy was worthless to your wife as well, maybe she was not even employed at that time either- then do mention that.

Remember to save copies of the letter you send and post by signed for delivery for proof of posting.

They should confirm they received the letter within a week or 2, and they have 8 weeks to give a decision.

Good luck, please keep us posted, cheers.

      If you don't mind:

Additionally I am unsure as to whether or not the policy sold as mandatory to the agreement. With this in mind I believe that I could not have had the policy properly explained to me nor do I believe that the agent who sold me the policy had the suitable financial background information required from me and therefore were not in a position to sell the policy in my best interests in the first place
