yes Turboman I thought the same thing ,but when I spoke to the bank yesterday they think it is because on my loan agreement they did state that the ppi would not be added until I returned to work or my health improved, also they knew I was on long tem medication and yet they still added ppi from shart of loan.So i`m think they have cancelled loan due to them there selfs making huge mistake and don`t want to pay bigger claim.which also explains why have not waited months to receive the payment I have got it with in 4 days.

May I also add that on Sunday when I was doing my internet banking I noticed that on the personal loan account the ballance was showing - £195 and yesterday it was changed to - £588.46 ,in conversation with the bank they told me that is what they still owe me on top of ppi claim.

Excellent news Fairy Dust 49--thats really good for you and all credit to the company.

ps--just a note to inform others that this is a special award--so don't expect everyone similar for other similar claims with the same company

Credit where it's due. Applause to both sides of a battle that was avoided by a sense of decency and civility.

                    Hiya

With mine I was successful from accounts taken out the 90's, so give it a go with your reasons Fairy-dust.

Even if a successful claim's been made ie: sickness etc, it may not have covered you fully, so if this applies to you - you can still make a reclaim.

Please also be aware, if loans were in joint names, its possible it may have only protected the first applicant, so in this case this is a complaint you can raise too, for example, with the main loans I had were joint and they only covered my hubby, yet he had a pre med condition and would not pay out, I was an homemaker, so I would not have been eligible for the ppi anyway, yet still responsible for the full loan that included the balance of the PPI.

If you are successful on a reclaim of where a claim has been made, the amount due will be reduced, due to a successful claim, but still give it a shot if it applies to you.

                    Hope this helps x

                    Good luck.

                      Re: Lloyds tsb ppi claim

Thanks Di30, yes one loan was in joint names but we were both covered with the ppi hence that is why we received the pay out on my partner who was diagnosed with prostate and bone cancer.I had allready paid that loan off with a new loan and it was after that when I requested a claim on his sickness but BH turned the claim down on new loan but then informed me that I could claim it on the loan I had just finished because that one also had ppi attached to it that I didn`t even know about,as mentioned b4 they paid a sum of £1,500 in to my account.
