Lloydstsb Ppi Refund

I HAD AN OFFER MADE FOR MY LLOYDSTSB PPI REFUND ON 8TH SEPT 11. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A PENNY. EACH TIME I PHONE THEM AFTER TAKING ABOUT 45 MINS TO GET THROUGH, I GET TOLD THE SAME OLD THING, WHICH IS, THERE'S A BACK LOG AND THERE IS NO TIMESCALE FOR SENDING PAYMENTS OUT. I HAVE ALSO WRITTEN TO THEM FIVE WEEKS AGO AND HAD NO REPLY. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO. ANY ADVICE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED :beagle:

Hi there

I suggest that you contact your local MP and ask them to write to them on your behalf.
Your MP should be willing to help, remember they want your votes in time and you may have already voted for them previously.

Explain to your MP your situation (I assume they are used to it by now, as I am aware many have done the same thing, who have been in the same position as yourself) and it's helped as well.
Also ask your MP for a copy of the letter they send and anything they receive.

Thank you for the advice, i will definatley think about going down that road. i'm sure it would be a different story if the boot was on the other foot. I will keep you informed. :beagle:

I have had the same problem as you. I received a letter dated 6th October 2011 informing me of the amount I was due and I have not received a penny of it yet. Originally they said I would receive a cheque but then when they realised I had an account they said the money would be transferred into this. After numerous phonecalls I am none the wiser as to when this refund will appear. All they tell me is ' you will have to wait we have along backlog'.

HI THERE BRAINDRAIN,

WHEN I PHONED THEM AGAIN ON THURSDAY I ASKED HIM IF HE WOULD SPEAK TO THE REFUND DEPT TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH LONGER THIS IS GOING TO TAKE, HE REFUSED FLAT, HE SAID THE GOOD THING IS YOU'LL GET MORE INTEREST PAID NOW, WELL I DON'T WANT MORE INTEREST I JUST WANT WHAT IS OWED TO ME, IT'S OVER 5,000. TODAY I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THEM WITH THE INCREASED INTEREST WHICH ONLY AMOUNTS TO A FEW EXTRA QUID, I KNOW THEY WILL NOW DRAG THEIR FEET EVEN MORE BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY CAN SHUT ME UP WITH A LETTER. IF I DON'T GET PAYMENT WITHIN 2 WEEKS I'M GETTING IN TOUCH WITH MP LIKE DIZZY DI ADVISED.

SORRY ABOUT MY TYPING, GOT DOMINANT HAND IN SLING RIGHT NOW.

RESULT After waiting 9 months from sending the initial complaints letter I finaly get my cheque.
