  • GE Money

The original loan and PPI was taken with First National Bank, Pinnacle were the insurers.
I start my PPI claim on the basis that GE Money bought First National Bank.
I followed the MoneySavingExpert advise and requested a statement from GE Money for the PPI claim, sent the funds for the request.
They send the statement and state that due to the loan being more than 10 years ago, they do not have the credit agreement and in fact the company was taken over by Pacific Home Loans. And if I can not get hold of them I should ask the FSA. But no responsibility lies with them.
Now, this is the part I do not understand?
If the loan was not with them how did they manage to send me the statements, but no agreement.
If you take a loan with Barclays, can Halifax send you the statement of the loan - no for DPA or am I dreaming?
Furthermore if they have the full statement for a loan taken out in 2001 how can they not have the agreement.
It gets worse the FLA state that I must write to the Pacific Home Loans to ask for the credit agreement.
I in turn point out the obvious. But how do GE Money have a full statement if they are not responsible for the loan.
I am still waiting for a response!
