Offer for PPI

I received a redress offer today for the sum of £5,810.96. but when i read the acceptance of offer form it states the sum of £5,1810.90 (must be a typo). which reads to me £51810.90

If i send the form back will i be paid the amount offered or the mistake sum on the acceptance of offer.

Only my opinion, but unless you are a Lipkin Gorman-v-Karpnale case of 'change of position', it would probably be unjust enrichment to receive the higher amount.

.....in the House of Lords case in 1992 of Lipkin Gorman-v-Karpnale. Lord Gough stated that it would be available to
‘ a person whose position has so changed that it would be inequitable in all the circumstances to require him to make restitution or restitution in full’

First of all well done on your success!

They will have records of the actual figure that is due to you, and they will put it down to an typo error as you stated.
