I have had an offer from Natwest, In the letter it mentions that I have had a successful claim on the PPI insurance ( and quotes what that amount was) It then goes on to say "taking into acount your successful claim" and then mentions a "total offer". Does this latter figure mean that is what will be paid? Or will the claim that was settled, be deducted from the "total offer" I should mention that there is a "breakdown" of figures including interest, but does not mention the original claim they settled. Any help or advice would be very gratefully received before I contact them:tinysmile_grin_t:

    Hi
    Well done on your success!

If you made a successful claim, say for example, unemployment/sickness, they will reduce the amount to left, as some have been used.

Sorry if I have misread, but did you ever make a claim on the policy?

If this is the case then you will receive all your PPI, plus the relevant interest, minus anything paid out due to a claim.

I would ask them to send you a breakdown in detail if they have not done this.

Thanks DD for your good wishes, I intend contacting them on Monday, What has happened to clarify:- I wrote about four months ago to ask if I had PPi, they replied I had and advised me I could make a "backdated" claim for a period of sickness, a few weeks later I received a letter to say they would settle this (sickness) claim. then as I realised I could also make a claim for misold PPI I did this, that was about seven weeks ago. I have received a letter with the pffer, they give a breakdown of payment and interest, but not a mention that this total will be reduced by the amount of the earlier settlement. If you have followed this! could you advise if you think they will reduce it (by the earlier settlement amount) I will let you know what they say in any case, I do intend to accept, thanks in advance for any response
