We took out a loan with LMC in 2005 for £20.000. (I believe they have gone into liquidation). I would like to know if there was a PPI included. Unfortunately, I cannot find any statements from them. Who do I contact about finding my account number.

Your right to think london mortgage company have ceased trading, they are administered now by Ascenden, although they will probably try to fob you off with the old "it was the brokers, not us".
I would guess though that Ascenden would be a good place to start.

I take it these were the brokers who set up your mortgage?

You can get hold of details/paperwork from the lender, I take it these are separate to the brokers who have liquidated.

If another business taken over, do you know if they have taken over the liabilities as well?

If not then you have financial issues to deal with, via PPI, you could contact the Financial compensation scheme (FSCS) and try making a claim through these.
