    Re: PPi

Firstly on what grounds have MSE members adviced you that you have no claim ?

Virgin credit cards are administered by MBNA and they are one of the biggest credit card PPI offenders.

A bit more info required plz.

    Regards
If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of payments.

When did you apply for the credit card?
Did you take out the PPI at the same time?

A Subject Access Request (SAR) to Virgin should provide to you the required information.

i agree with all of the above posts if you went to a cmc a lot of them a few years ago asked for an "audit" fee which shouid have been refundable although try to get the money back off of them. no cmc shouid take an audit fee, no win no fee or no play! as p.f and a.c says you need to sar them, have you any old statements as on credit cards the ppi is normally shown as a monthly fee

            Re: PPi

They rang me back in July and asked if i had any cards or loans. To which i said yes. The main one they focused on was virgin.
i paid the up front fee of £299 for the legal team to look into this card. after a few days i recieved a call from the "legal team" saying i have a case and have been mis-sold PPI.
They then said Virgin have oftered £2500, or if i paid another fee of £352 i could take it all the way and have the account cleared and also get some comp. Great i thought. so i went for it. i never got anymore paper work sent through, Just a MSE minus cheque for the above amount.
i rang for updates and spoke to some lovely people, who said everything is going to plan and i should here soon.
Well yesterday i rang again as i am now getting the hump, because it's taking for ever, and was told that i have not been sold PPI, and thye would send me a refund, But first they would send two of those cheques first with a PLUS sign this time i would then sign something and then my money back.
I hope this is clear, i really don;t know what to do...

I had similar calls late last year, but was suspicious and contact the REAL MSE this looks like a group of con artists, sorry, they asked for evidence and the phone number and said they were investigating this company but that is was nothing to do with them.

The call I had was claiming to be money claiming experts but enough of a similar name to make you think.
Cold call code on investigation Swansea.
let the person ramble on and then asked her "whats the catch",
                            she hung up!
