  • Ruby vs Aqua

Hi all, life has been very hectic and not been on site for AGES !!

I had a repayment plan in place with Aqua for a while until they decided to sell the debt off to a DCA or two. Have been completely ignoring the treat-o-letters until today when I received a letter from LCS solicitors claiming they are giving me 14 days to settle the debt or they MAY consider telling Aqua to take court action.

The thing that ruffles my feathers is that I have asked them on a previous occasion to repay back all the late payment/over limit charges but they said no and that its in their terms and conditions, which they enclosed with the letter. I have to admit with everything else going on in my life I have let this matter slip and I want to now get all my late payment/over limit charges back and I won't stop until I do.

HOWEVER I am having huge problems with your compound interest calculator.
I can retrieve it on excel however it does not like any imputs after about April 2008!!!

The total outstanding debt is Circa £1600 of which I believe at least half can be written off at their compound interest of 39.95%.

    Please help. !!!!!!!!

    Re: Ruby vs Aqua

    Hi Ruby,

Change the date in the "Calculate interest up to (date)" box from whatever it currently states ( probably 1/11/2008 ) to today's date or something similar.
    Should be OK then.

It's not a problem with the file, just with the default date that is entered in that box.

I will post a fresh copy up later today which should then avoid the problem in future, well for another couple of years anyway !!
