    why do i have a single payment for ppi insurance added to my loan when i first took it out and monthly payments took out of the amount i pay each month on the same loan
    please help

    It will be because you signed the original contract for adding PPI

    Now, whether you realised you were doing that is another issue

    If not--then "mis-selling" of PPI occurred & if so, this site will help you through the procedures for claiming it back if you wish to go down that route
