• save as .xls-
• Open in open office to bypass it &
• save it back as .xls & repost it

The Tesco spreadsheet you sent seems to have an error, in that it doesn't calculate the 8% Compensatory (Statutory) interest in a way that makes any sense to me.
I've put the Tesco figures into one of our own spreadsheets (which I've attached here) - and it shows that this interest should be approx. £230 more.

So - I reckon the Tesco offer is approx. £230 less than you are entitled to.

The LTSB figures need entering into a spready before we can evaluate their offer. As they are in PDF form, I can't copy and paste them. Could you put them into the blank spready I've sent you - then we can check them against the offer.

Interest theory and Credit Card stuff at the moment hurts my head so so much----so I am leaving discussion with Bill & Budgie and will tag along when I can follow it mate
