sorry if this is boneheaded and is already made clear. I want to put in a claim for PPI against Welcome. Where do i send questionnaire Welcome Nottingham or the FSCS? and do I put a letter in with it stating what i want or just send the questionnaire?

I did e-mail and they forwarded it to Welcome/Cattles ther seems litle point in contacting them as in almost five years they still havent got it right!
Still waiting for FOS so will see what they have to say.

Hi, I have been trying for the last 6 weeks to get an fscs compensation form sent out from welcome, Im being told I have duplicate accounts which they need to merge into one customer number before they can send out a form.
was told I'd have form in 2 weeks, then told the same 2 weeks later. then last week told me they were working on these 'duplicate' accounts now and should be sorted in a week.

I have spoken to them again today and been told to check back in a week.
Does anyone know anything about this? or are they just taking the p**s out of me?

They are taking p**s out of everyone apparently ..

I've been told they are not sending out forms when they should, will say sent form to the address you were living when you took it out, aren't adding the 8% interest on come claims, even told one guy that he didn't sign the forms when he is 100% sure he did etc etc..

I suspect that they are getting more than the 30,000 per month they were hoping to deal with and don't want to pay out too much too soon.. Still offsetting against any outstanding loans btw which is only company they have ever done this for...

The multiple account thing is rubbish i reckon since when they started doing this months ago they managed it no problem so whats changed except they prob not coping with the volumes..
...?

Welcome and FSCS are also in the same building btw... just so you know..

Thanks, is there anything i can do to put pressure on them to get the form out to me? Or anyone else i can contact?
Been on phone to welcome 8 times now and feel like im getting nowhere.

I've had exactly the same problem ref duplicate comlaints, the only way to get any sense out of welcome is to ask to speak to the complaints manager, after 2 weeks of being told their IT bods needed to fix the issue but hadnt got around to doing I spoke with the manager, was fixed within a day and docs received within 3. Go to the top if you want anything to happen!

Just called them again, spoke to supervisor and then manager,
Said they couldnt understand why its not been sorted. Says he'll investigate and call me back.

Hopefully get something done now but i wont hold my breath lol

I had complaints in on 3 accounts that I started 7 weeks ago (all pre 2005)

They have just written to me stating they are closing the complaint (final response) as I have failed to respond to their previous letters (note more than one letter, supposedly)

I've just written back stating I dont accept this as a final response as I havent received their previous letters and also that I find it somewhat unlikely they would lose more than 1 letter in the postal system, but they also had my email address and telephone number they could have contacted rather than assuming I took no interest in responding to a query that could have pocketed me several £k in payouts!

I looked on the FSCS frequently asked questions for the email address. I had a different one but they were useless(the cattles one, that is)

My cousin works for a CMC and he gives me an update about once a week into what's going on with these.

Scandalous what FSCS are trying to delay / put people off claiming...


Refusing to look at the original claim that was put in months ago by the CMC and saying it has to be on their paperwork.

Claimants having to call them 2 and 3 times to request their forms and they still haven't sent the forms

Asking for proof of ID ,originals not copies , if person has moved since takin out Loan ,

(I wouldn't fancy sending them my original driving licence or passport if they haven't mastered sending out forms yet and also they didn't need ID when they were taking the payments of them...!!!)

If complaint sent to welcome and it was a post 2005 case they are destroying the complaint without looking at it.

One lady told you don't have PPI but she found the agreement a week later and she did..!!



Who regulates this lot..? who would you have to write to to ask them to sort them out or investigate what is going on... Do they have CEO or would it be MP, Watch dog, etc
Its obvious they are trying to get rid of some of the claims by any means they can but they should still run like any business and play fair at least a little...

The 50 million they have received so far from welcome,with another 40 million on the way is the money they could have used to pay these claims in the first place
This is probably what they paying the wages of these people to sort out the claims. Disgusting !

Pre 2005 claims is dealt with via FOS post 2005 by the FSCS.

If that is the case I would email FSCS with evidence of wrongdoing since they should be helping the FSCS complete claims not worsen it.
