Nattie as I have said before I have no doubts that she is respected in the city in fact I would be most surprised if she was not she after all is fighting the bankers corner hell someone has too.

But that does not mean she is respected by the consumer I for one loath the woman but that is my own personal opinion which I am entitled too as there are two sides to every coin.

At heart she is probably a very gentle kind person it is just her front that I do not like but then I am not a banker.

Whether I or anyone else on the forum agrees with the things Angela Knight argues about, she is very much respected within the City. Am not sure why we are pointlessly throwing images of her about. You want some links to that viewpoint?

Am not sure Angela Knight had a conflict of interest. Her background was that she did her degree in chemistry(not economics but that doesn't say much these days). Owned her own company and then became an MP from 1992-97(in which time she was economic secretary to the treasury) . Then became CEO of APCIMS prior to taking over at the BBA. Very well respected within her field.

Mervin King and Angela Knight are two people you would of thought would be getting along well together so it is nice to see that they do not agree on this one as that has to be good for the consumer.

That is why she is respected both by the banks and the City, because she will defend the indefensible. That is her reputation. I never thought I would ever defend Angela Knight but the fact remains that she is very rarely found to be making a cock up on any facts she presents. You have to respect that even if you fundamentally disagree with her.
