  • Ppi Claim Advice Please

    Not Sure If This Is The Right Place To Post This, So Please Excuse If Wrong.
    I Recently Made A Sickness Claim Against My Tesco Loan, And I'm Coming To The End Of Its 12 Month Period. Since Claiming I Have Been Made Redundant, As Well As Registering As Disabled, As My Illness Is Showing No Signs Of Improving. I Called Tesco To Explain This, And Was Told That I Could Not Make Another Claim Against The Ppi For A Further 12 Months, During Which Time I Must Be In Full Time Employment. I Explained To Them As Above, But Was Stonewalled By The Operative.
    Can Anyone Advise Me On My Options? As I Think This Is Unfair, As I'm Still Paying For The Ppi, And Cannot Use It.

    You need to have a read of your T&C's all that info will be in there and as you have made a claim on the PPI then you can not go for mis selling. I should also suspect there maybe a clause in their T&Cs about claiming again on the same illness but I maybe wrong.
    If you are now no longer in employment then I think you should cancel the PPI as it is of no use to you.

      Many Thanks I Was Wondering Whether I Could Put In A Seperate Claim For Either Redundancy Or Disability, As It's Obvious To Them That I'm Not Going Back To Work For Some Time Soon. They Claim That I Cannot, Unless Employed For 12 Months

        Interesting,
        This situation has cropped up before re: disability claims that turn into long term illness.

        You need to check the exclusion and limitation clauses in the policy and;
        was this matter clearly explained to you at the point of taking out tthe PPI?

            Hi there

            What is the latest on this?

            I understand that people have still made successful reclaims, even if a claim have been made, but the chances are slimmer....but have been done.

            This is because its paid out for one thing and not the other.
            However, if you are successful, then the refund will be reduced - due to a previous successful claim.

            If you have your reasons, there is no harm in trying, good luck.

              I don't think the OP was wanting to reclaim and not stating anything about it being missold?? I think they were wanting to put in another claim for redundancy or disability?
