Re: Need help enforcing FOS PPI Final Decision please!

    Hi Bill and PF!

Cheers guys - your support is what makes this all worthwhile!

Fantastic idea to remind them about the claim increasing due to the SI - will deffo try that.............the FOS did already award compo - of £200 - which doesn't seem much really, but not sure whether this could be increased at all???

I might even give the 50% now, 50% later a try - not that I'm desperate, but this is getting ridiculous now

Will of course keep you posted how I get on!

      Nellie,

You do understand this is a race now to see which one of us gets paid out first lol
If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of payments.

Re: Need help enforcing FOS PPI Final Decision please!

          Hi guys!

          Latest update on this -

OH called Norton today and he was told that the refund cheque will be issued on or before 15th October...........2010? 2011? 2012?

OH told them in no uncertain terms that if they don't stick to their word we will be seeking to enforce this through the courts - however, my belief is they've had long enough and we should not be waiting till October - which will be 6 months since the FOS final and legally binding decision! - but that we should start enforcement proceedings next week

          Thoughts please anyone?

Re: Need help enforcing FOS PPI Final Decision please!

I can understand your feelings, Nellie. They really shouldn't be putting this off any longer, but even if you issued enforcement proceedings, I doubt if it would get the matter resolved before 15/10 anyway, would it ?

However, why not tell that they've had long enough, and if they are not prepared to send the cheque immediately - by first class recorded (or whatever's fastest) then you WILL issue enforcement. And unless they can provide you with a track and trace number to prove it has been sent, you will not accept their word for it.

            Just my suggestionette, though...

Re: Need help enforcing FOS PPI Final Decision please!

Agreed. Send them a quick letter confirming your expectations, as per Bill-K's post (personally, I also email copies and/or fax, so that they get multiples to emphasize the point). If nothing is received to the agreed timescale send them a notice before action letter and copy the FOS. If they don't send the cheque, write to the local MP as well, because they always write to the CEO on your behalf.
              Thanks!

Re: Need help enforcing FOS PPI Final Decision please!

True indeed Bill - but then you know my feelings about this.............I don't have much faith they will refund this side of hell freezing over :tinysmile_cry_t:

As both your's and Debtisbad's opinions coincide with mine on this I will go with your 'suggestionette' (OH thinks I'm being too harsh I believe!) and try once again to force their hand..............I honestly don't think I've ever come across such an intransigent bunch as Norton in my life - they almost (but not quite) make Lloyds look keen to play ball...............

Thanks tons to you both for your continued support and advice,

Re: Need help enforcing FOS PPI Final Decision please!

It's good news, but once received, please write to all and sundry about the shabby behavior you have received. FOS, TS. your MP, etc.

I cannot stress enough that most of my success on here was from aggressively fighting back.

In simple terms, complain, complain , complain.

Collectively, we can make a difference.

Once again, congratulations on you success in this case! you are a star!
                          Thanks!

Thanks everyone - I'm not starting to celebrate just yet though - I remember reading somewhere someone saying that Norton are the worst company for employing delaying tactics and it isn't over yet - not till the fat lady starts singing anyway.............:sing:
