  • Using the Which? site to claim PPI - No account details provided

HI all.... Just thought i'd share my recent experience speculatively claiming PPI...

In a previous life I tried to help the many claim back bank charges on another site, just before LB was born...so I thought i'd have some fun trying my luck with PPI. I decided to use the Which? site as it was easy and didn't take very long. (I'm bone idle on these things if the truth be known) I have no account details and the only information that I provided was name, DOB and any addresses that I had lived at.

Anyway, after a few days the texts started to arrive telling me that they had received my complaint and were processing it. 2 weeks go by and a plethora of letters and forms started to come thru asking for more details, and some saying no PPI had been paid. At this point I must admit I did around 20 claims in the space of an hour, some of which were to banks that I couldn't remember if I had an account with!.

Yesterday however I received a nice little letter from RBS UPHOLDING my complaint (ha ha ) and an nice little offer of 3k came thru..

So the moral of this story is to always chance your arm with these people, you may be lucky........ At the very least you will be causing them to work a little so take some satisfaction from that...
