  • Text message received on my works phone

    From +447780454382 received 23/7/2012

    Message

'We have been trying to contact you regarding your PPI Claim, we can now have details of how much you are due. Just reply CONFIRM and we will call you back.'

I shal give this information to the MOJ at our meeting in August - it will be on my agenda:-

    1. They have not been trying to contact me lol - my phone has been free and they have not phoned me.
2 We dont have PPI as a company.
3 They could not possibly know how much refund we have lol as they are NOT privvy to any personal information that we or a company has. - So folks do not be fooled by these ridiculous text messages.
    4. They do not even say who they are - which company and even if they are MOJ authorised. This to me is a scam and these Text messages should be reported to me here so that I can deal with them through the right channels.

A forenote to anyone who receives this type of text message, do NOT and I repeat do not do not answer them.

Post up here on this forum so that I can show the MOJ what sort of messages we are receiving as genreal public and they can deal with this as they see fit. They may not be even authorised, or may not yet be on the MOJ radar so anything we can prove to them that is happening would be a good thing.

I've had those, Tuttsi. I usually delete them. I also get ones for accident claims. They get deleted as well. And, you're right, the majority of them are scams. The key is not to respond to them. As soon as you do that, you get all manner of low-life texting you. If I get another, I'll post it up so you have ammunition to take to the next meeting with the MoJ.
Life is a journey on which we all travel, sometimes together, but never alone.

I can get up to 2 to 3 of these text messages within half an hour! Especially on a Saturday. I am on pay as you go and would LOVE to know how the hell they get my number. Another one is offering me £400 for payday loans.

I just had one with their company website on it (which looks awful BTW)

              It was from 07824903013.

Text read "URGENT you are owed £3350 for the PPI you took out, time is running out to claim, please visit www.ppinomore.com to claim, thank you"

I dont have and never have had any PPI so clearly this is nonsense.

Can anyone find out who owns the site? I would like to get a contact number for them and put it through their own website to give them a taste of their own medicine.

Thanks for starting this thread, Tuttsi. Recd a message at 10am today from 07867472480 saying "URGENT you are owed £3350 for the PPI you took out, time is running out to claim, please visit www.ppinomore.com to claim, thank you. To opt out reply STOP"
Had a few previously. They are all usually deleted.

I've just received yet another text (at 11.46) courtesy of our friends ppinomore (447867366938) ... wording exactly the same as sats76 - it appears we are ALL owed exactly £3350 for our mis sold ppi - what a coincidence!! :tung: The ironic thing is ... I sucsessfully reclaimed over £4k back in June lol
