  • GE Pursuit of ME !

two & half yrs after a secured loan had finished GE have contacted me saying 3k is overdue in interest & penalties on the loan. If I pay within 7 days £1,900 would be accepted. What do the Beagles advise please ? Make an offer - I have restricted funds available.....

Write back to them asking for a breakdown of exactly what this amount is made up of and why. Under no circumstances make them an offer of any sort, and do not acknowledge the fact that you owe them any money. It is up to them to prove exactly why this money is allegedly owed, and how it is made up.

Basically send them a "Prove it" letter, there is one on here somewhere but I can never find it.
I'll come back with a link for it later, if no-one beats me to it. Obviously adapt it as necessary.
