Hello all I need some facts please if anyone can help. I知 thinking of starting an ironing service from home and I知 estimating I値l earn somewhere between 」60-」80 per week on a 46 weeks a year basis I知 surmising I won稚 pay tax but do I need to still inform HMRC? Also I have a few gaps in my pension years that I can fill but the cost to fill each of the years is quite a lot at 」600+ I have 5 more years NI to pay the get the highest amount of state pension you can get (」221 ish I think) I still have 12 years before I retire so I知 wondering rather than pay all that to fill my gaps if I could pay the class 2 voluntary contributions of 」3.35 per week to get the 5 more years I need to reach the highest amount of pension that you can receive if I pay this for at least the 5 years? Can you pay the class 2 NI also if you池e unemployed? How would I go about this? TIA
