Sorry I entered without a full comment - I had a secure welcome loan in 2007 for 17k the broker told us that this was the only lender that would lend to us but later from another broker we found out that was a lie and there were others with lower rated wilking to loan. I eventually stopped paying as welcome would not entertain my complaint. Eventually they done the visits to home every other day the telephone calls and threats to my property. They eventually agreed to speak to us. Said they would pay of the original loan and restart a cheaper new one i said i did nit trust them a d did not want it on th property we were told that's not an issue. Well they the started taking a bigger payment than before long story short I stopped paying later we got a letter to say that we could lose the house if not paid but I knew we could not so u ignored willing to go to court that would maybe mean a fair agreement being forced. Long story short it wa sold on and I got the same warning about the house so I downloaded my deeds and the loan was still on there dated the original date yet they set up a new agreement dated 2009. It was sold on about twice and nothing happened I assumed it was becasue there were irregularities. Swift advances then bought it I done the same ironed everything they sent it is now 11 years and a few months. I revised a letter form Flint Bishop saying we have 14 working days until they start repossession that was dated 7 July what I did not realise and whqt welcome did not tell.me was the loan was for 20k not the original 17k and was 222.00 over 289 months that's 65k I would never had agreed to that we we're to pay back 17k never were we given the value of 65k I am at a loss what to do I am going to citizen advice on Saturday as I juat dont know if they can enforce this any help or suggestions would be appreciated

I would email Flint Bishop, state that you need to seek advice / help from Citizen Advice Bureau, that you will need 21 days as CAB has limited appointments available.

The following might help - https://legalbeagles.info/forums/for...e-secured-loan

Thank you I am speaking with citizens advice on Tue there are so many inconsistency i requested an acxes request a long time ago from welcome and they actually sent the brokers sheet with it stating 2k incentive on it yet we were not informed a fee was payable then when I challenged them thet ignored so I stopped paying they then harassed us eventually they arranged a meeting said we will change the loan pay of the first one for cheaper I said not on the property and thay said nkt to worry about that we did not complete or sign any legal charge sheet the second time so we're convinced it was no longer a secure loan we stopped paying that when we found out they had increased the first loan by 3k we were mislead but of course we were OK as it was not a secure loan anymore. Imagine iur shock when we found out the charge from the first one was still on the property. But im sure if the loan has not been acknowledged (it's only been disputed never acknowledged) then only the capital can be claimed I hope this is correct

Well we are way down tbe path threataned with litigation wnot entertain the fact that the whole process with welcome and all the other companies that bought the debt was all wrong. We have had to pay the full monthley amount tbey are asking spoke to citizen advice, other help sites and no help nkt a single soliciter will look at the xmcase without chargi g an obscene amount of money up front Swift are pushing to take the house so i reckon we are totally screwed
