  • bank charges 2nd time around!

    I tried for my charges 6 years ago but they lost in court.Would it be worth trying again.They owed me £5 grand.I was in hardship then .Now i am even worse.

    The straight answer is NO. Under financial hardship the bank does not have to refund even 1p in charges to comply under the banking code. The charges LOST in court are definitely out for that period since you lost in court.
    Charges since then are on the table but you have to prove that the charges made your situation worse and the bank did nothing to help you and even when you spoke to creditors and they did everything they could, ie payment breaks, freeze interest, etc,etc ,that the charges were still exceeding the free income that remained.
