Would be grateful for your help. I have checked my online account with the halifax and since September 2007 I have had charges of £700 taken from my account.

    1. Is it true I can claim these back under the hardship rule (anyone having paid over £500 )

    2. Do I copy all of my statements or just the ones with the charges on

    3. Do I also send in copies of default notices and other threatening letters I have received.

    4. What is the address of the Halifax that I send these to

    5. Any advice you can give me as to what to write would be grateful

This is my first time in claiming from the halifax so any help you give me would be helpful

hi shower girl im not completely up on the hardship rules however im pretty sure just because you have had over £500 worth of charges does not mean you can use the hardship rules to claim the money back, it all depends on your circumstances wether you are in financial difficulty i.e. cannot keep up paymants on loans credit cards and morgage payments etc and basically do not have enough money to live on.

If you meet any of that criteria then you might be able to claim back under the hard ship rules.

Im sure someone will be along soon with a better answer for you as i am just a newb at hardship rules.
