Hi. My second time on here. I keep telling myself i can sort all my problems out. I have to give in, and share, get advice. I really hope somebody can help me, i am so confused, dont know what sleep is, and stressed to the hilt. I have about 6 problems that all roll into one. Where do i start. Cannot let that put me off anymore.. I am 45 year old woman with two girls. Jan last year i suffered two major strokes. I was in hospital for three months, because i was setting my own business up at the time, i had no income at all.

When i came out of hospital i was kind of dropped off and left to get on with it. I had bills galore and mortgage arrears, i didnt know which way to turn, ( apparantley i slipped through the net in hospital ) should of had assesments in hospital, and when i got home, but i had nothing, About 4 weeks of been home i broke down, the only place i could ring was social services, which i did. It was not till august last year i started to get some income, wow, that was a hard time, ( just to let you know, at this point i had my own home but was living in temp accomadation because of my ex husband, the house was rented out at a loss to me, because of a re mortgage. will explain that later. )

when i started getting income, i started to arrange payments for gas, elek, water, I started to get income support, housing benefits, that took me ages, having to prove that there was no equity in my property, since then i have been trying to cope with disabilities that i have beern left with, and paying debts off. PROBLEM 1. I re mortgaged my house in 2006, this was by applying online for a mortgage, secured loan, I was not sure about what i was doing, just listening to a load of rubbish, i was getting phone calls all the time about this loan, by different people, in fact i was been harrassed, but realised too late, i did cancel the loan at one point because i was totally confused, only a week later for all the calls to start again.

By this time i had left full time employment, was in the process of setting a business up. and this is what i told the company..Central Capital. I was told that did not matter, and just wanted to know how much i think i would be making, that was it, the biggest mistake of my life, i let them talk me into the loan, How stupid can someone be. I cannot believe i did it. Then jan came, and the strokes, hospital, then the calls started coming from G E Money, i was in arrears i know, they was not bothered about me, obviousley, they just wanted their money. This made me so ill, along with the feelings of been an idiot, i did not want to live anymore, selfish or what, i just could not take anymore.

I was reading through the contract and it said i had ppi, surley they should of know this, the ppi was with them, i was now in arrears of 5,000 and they had taken me to court to reposses the house, i got that stopped, i rang G e MONEY about the ppi, they told me it was with them, but it had been passed to another company, (WESSEX GROUP ) i asked why i had not been told this, they just apologised and gave me the number to ring which i did, when i spoke to them and asked why the ppi had been moved to them, they did not know....yep..sure.... i told them about my illness and the arrears, it took some standing firm to get them to pay anything, but they did pay the 5,000.

It seems really weird why central capital get this loan from ge money with ppi, then the ppi is passed to wessex group, which is a partner of central capital, I cannot work it out... Well last week, i started getting phone calls again from G E money, a payment had not been made since the last ppi 6 monthes ago, that they still had the house with the courts and they where going for repossetion,, they told me it was 5,000 something again, plus intrest, ,

Am i right in thinking if a default as been made they are not allowed to charge intrest.... Well it never stops does it....Last week my garage at my house was st on fire, all my things gone, but it wasnt a life, just another big shock, even more so because i was getting ready to move back there soon, i had a look at the contract again and found i was not insured. so i am now waiting for the garage to be pulled down, its not safe, i am in all them arrears again, and ge money are going to court to take the house, The person i spoke to was so horrible with me, she spoke to me like i was dirt, as if i didnt feel bad enough, she was wanting an argument, i did not have the energy to argue with her..... well i WROTE it all down, thats one step for me....Now can anybody make any sense of it all, and give me any advice at all,

I need to get all this sorted out so i can start living. I feel old having strokes, with all this i feel 90.... I know it was all misold to me, i claimed on the ppi 6 months ago, but that is all they payed, and the no insurance. i did not know anything about this, was never mentioned. Can they charge me intrest on a default. If you have not fallen asleep. Please Please any help would be great.....Thanking you.

    Re: Anglmist

Hi Anglmist, and welcome to Beagles. Firstly, calm down and don't panic, we will do our best to help and advise you. You did really well to stand firm and get the 5k payout in the first place. It seems to me that most PPI's pay for 12 months, but I may be wrong on this, will flag this up for more advice. You may also need to provide them with ongoing evidence of your illness etc.

Next thing for you to do is to write down a timescle of whats what, what letters you've had, who from, how much owed etc. Just names dates etc, as short and simple as possible, then we can get a clear picture of your situation. If we need any extra info we'll ask.

    ie
01.01.08 took out loan with xxxxxx for £xxxxxx
01.02.08 letter from xxxxx stating arrears of £xxxxxx
01.03.08 paid £xxxx to xxxxx company

you get the general idea. Give us the bones and we'll fill in the meat later if we need to.

And remember, we're here to help - you are not on your own.

    Any questions, just shout.

      Hiya Angelmist,

Firstly please do try to calm down hun, there is nothing to be achieved by stressing and remember its no good for your health either.

Ok now please do as Wendy asks and list down ALL of your debts, once we know exactly what we are looking at, then we can get to work at solving the problem.

Once you have done all of this please then take time for a cuppa and have a read round the site.

Dont worry we will all help you as much as we can.

It may be an idea to start different threads on each area of help you need.

can I just ask when you said you had the fire in the garage - is that the house you had the mortgage on? Usually the BS check you have insurance as the buildings are their security as well ? why were you not covered?

              Re: Anglmist

Just one thing do not contact them by phone it is better if it is all in writing that way they cannot get to you, and you then have proof of everything that is said.

I know as I have been there (before Beagles I may add) and you agree to anything just to get them off the phone.

Keep your chin up we will all help :tinysmile_grin_t:

                Hiya,

Just a quickie whilst you are preparing your list of debts. If you are getting calls from GE and others send them this letter Legal Beagles it will stop them calling and tells them to deal with everything in writing.

That way you will get some peace and be able to concentrate on the matter in hand.

                  Hi

noticed you have not posted on this thread for a few days. What do you need help with first?

It is probably best to concentrate on one thing at a time. Or have a seperate thread for each item you want to cover .

                  We are hear to help.
