Time I have for filing defense

Hi guys
I think I might have just cost myself a ccj. I received a letter from the county court on 24/02/2017, AoS was done on the 02/03/2017 . I had calculated that I should have filed my defense by the 21/03/2017 hence my thoughts that I am too late. Could somebody confirm that I am right with my timeline or that somehow I still have time to file my defence. VERY DESPERATE please help

You are possibly just within the limit. Try and submit your defence immediately. It may just be accepted. Submit via email. Look at the status of the claim on MCOL.

What was the Date of Issue on the form? 5 days from date of issue to date of service. Defence required within 28 days of date of service. Read the explanation on the form.

hi thanks for getting back so quickly. I have the 24th Feb as the on MCOL. Will go and get the letter to make sure. If it was served on the 24th it looks like today would be the deadline if i include weekends.

One other thing, do i need to physically write down my signature on the defense with a pen or will just typing it be fine for the courts.
