Help with unsecured loan

Hi all,I bought a car back in Dec 2014 through a dealer and got the funds through Hitachi capital as an unsecured loan,the payments are £178.50 pm,but unfortunately iv fell on hard times with work and family and I'm really struggling to pay it,would I be able to call Hitachi capital and explain my circumstances and if they'd be able to reduce the monthly payments till I get back on my feet,there's still 2yrs left on the agreement as it stands.

Ring them and try. Make up an income and expenditure sheet to see where else you can make cuts. Very often there are things to cut. Start with your utility supplier and switch . Start moving to supermarket generic products. A talk to organisations like Christians Against Poverty, or step change could help with an outside eye looking at expenditure. Don't try to retain your lifestyle by using credit nothing good lies down that route.
Talk to all creditors and see what they are willing to do. See if you have stuff to sell sell it use it to free up money on you most expensive creditor.
