Re: Josh12365 - Lowell pre-action letter
Was this just a utility bill/account, or did it include purchase of equipment?Originally posted by Josh12365 View PostI need help with these buggers! How old, & when was the last time you paid into the account or acknowledged it in writing?

Re: Josh12365 - Lowell pre-action letter
It was for my old phone contract with vodafone, last payment was too vodafone themselves which was just over 2 years ago now. I take it these "Lowell" people have now purchased it for around 10p and they want the £1881 off me which i really do not have.

Have you received a Notice of Assignment from anyone (informing you that it has been bought by Lowells)?CAVEAT LECTOR

Re: Josh12365 - Lowell pre-action letter
No i havent, i would have thought vodafone would have told me. I think my very first letter from Lowell basically said, they now own the debt from vodafone and i needed to contact them to arrange a "suitable repayment plan" and it has escilated from there i think. The letter today says, they have "assessed their option and intend to take Legal Action" at the top of it? "/

That sounds like the NoA.......it doesn't need to come from Vodafone.
