  • Trying to remove defaults from credit file.

    Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has advice on getting defaults successful removed.
I have 2 different default from 02 accounts and am wanting to try have them removed... does anyone have advice how to or managed to have them removed. There small amounts of 200 and 300 odd.
I think they have possible been taken on my lowell debt collect.
I would even agree to pay half or a percentage if they agree to remove the defaults from my file... i know i need them to agree in writing before any payments are made.
Does anyone have any email templates 0R anyways to go about achiving this.
    Thank you..

I am afraid that you may struggle if these defaults are legitimate. If you have a browse through similar posts you will see that even when the default is contested it is a long hard struggle to get them removed. I know they are a hindrance but as they get older they have less impact on your overall credit scoring. They stay on for 6 years and then drop off your file whether they are paid or not.

An optimist is someone who falls off the Empire State Building, and after 50 floors says, 'So far so good'!
