  • Help charging order joint property sale

    Hi,

Back in 2010 Creation Finance got a CCJ and eventually a charging order for a £15k debt in my sole name. Since then I've not paid anything or been asked to.

I am now looking to sell my jointly owned property. Some early research tells me the charging order may not be enforceable. Is this the case? I'm also concerned as the debt isn't anything to do with my wife, the other owner, why should she be penalised.

How can I check the terms of the CCJ? Am I secretly being charged a fortune in interest? Nothing has been communicated with me and I've only been thinking about it now.

I was also declared bankrupt in 2011 which wiped everything else out.

    Help please.

    Karl
