  • Bailiff refusing payment plan please help

Hi all I'm looking for a bit of advice. I understand none of this so would just like to know what my next step should be. I received a parking fine months ago which I appealed and was denied. I then didn't pay it in time. I asked the council for a payment plan as I'm unemployed and was told they don't offer anything like that. It's now got to the bailiff stage and I thought all was well as I'd managed to set up a payment plan. Initial £7 then £20 per week. I thought I'd done this however it appears I set up my standings order late. (My own fault as I don't have Internet and have to do it when I can get to family's houses) they are saying I missed a payment on the 18th Feb which I didn't know I just assumed id pay it longer. Had I have known I'd have added it on however today a bailiff turned up stating that I owe the full amount plus a £235 fee for his visit. I am not eligible for any type of payment plan as its been cancelled. He will give me this evening to gather the money or he'll be back tomorrow to seize goods. I am a single parent of two young children and I can't stop crying as I could've prevented it but they say they had no obligation to tell me there was a payment missing. I obviously didn't know and they can see I pay regularly. I can't get that kind of money and I can't lose anything we don't have much as it is. Any advice greatly appreciated!
