  • Attachment of earnings / CCJ

Hello, new to the forum! Looking for some information please.

About 5 years ago a DCA got a CCJ against me (judgment by default).

After that they went for AOE... I got it suspended and paid voluntary for about a year. After I stopped paying they got AOE against me which is now being paid by employer.

Anyways my question is, the CCJ is nearly six years old so will drop off credit file soon.. After CCJ expires does the AOE become unenforcable? Or am I legally obliged to continue paying until every penny is paid, even though CCJ would have expired?

    Thanks for any help

The CCJ doesn't "expire" when it drops off your file - you still have to carry on paying I am afraid.
