CCJ over 6years old

Hello, I would be grateful for some advice regarding a ccj from January 2010. It has just gone past the 6year mark but there is still quite a large sum outstanding. I have been making monthly payments as the Court ordered. The question is what should I do now, do I keep making the monthly payment? or would it be better to stop the payments and see what they do. I've heard that after 6 years they would have to start the whole process again and apply for another ccj but I don't know if that's correct. If they did restart the process I now believe that I may have a defence to the claim. Many thanks

You have to keep making the payments I am afraid.

If you hadn't been paying anything and it had gone over 6 years, the creditor would have to go back to court to get permission to "enforce" the CCJ with bailiffs or an attachment of earnings. But as you have been paying, this doesn't apply.
