Just done a companies web check and nothing

I believe their Consumer Credit licence lapsed a while ago

As you said below, their offices are based in Malta and they are regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority. I’m sorry their website seems to suggest otherwise.

Thank you for sending me the page on their website which specifically directs people to bring their complaints to us … I have spoken to a colleague and we are going to contact Pounds till Payday to ask them amend this. I agree this is misleading borrowers.“

The Financial Ombudsman is regretfully declining to look at any complaints about them.

I have corresponded with a few people who have borrowed from one of these lenders. No one has said they have had any credit file entries about these debts.

The Financial Ombudsman is regretfully declining to look at any complaints about them.

Okay, that's fair enough, and yes keep a record of everything, and your statement showing the transaction, and keep an eye on your statements in case further payments are taken without authority.

Not aolt really gave them details and they said they will contact them..... I think il just pay via that link and screen shot each stage as I don't think il get anywhere with them and have to pay all the fees, it's just not worth the risk of owing loads of money out, I haven't got the time unfortunately to chase all the agencies. So annoyed with my situation

In that case I think the online payment may be a better option than the telephone.

They have stopped lending as they are no longer authorised in the UK to provide credit. We do not yet know if there has been / or is an ongoing investigation.

I believe the email to be genuine as loan number matches my account...... and the fact they didn't take the direct debit.

I would love to know why they have stopped issuing loans all of a sudden too

On your email, so it's really dependent on whether your account reference number in your email is correct whether that email is genuine.
