I have disputed a unpaid council tax bill for 4 years as its incorrect I have finally got this to a tribunal at court, can my local council still apply for a liability order at another court even though I am passing my evidence to a different tribunal court?

HI Burgandy! I retired last year after serving 23 years as a council tax enforcement officer so I could comment further, and hopefully with some efficiency, but I am unclear what has happened here.
What exactly are you disputing here? I assume that it's the council tax banding in the first instance as that's the only thing that can follow through to a tribunal after you have made application to the Valuation Office Agency ( VOA ) and they have rejected any claim
The question of enforcing unpaid council tax is entirely different to this and a completely separate matter. Normal procedure is to have to pay the stated tax until a formal decision to reband ( presumably downwards in your case ) has been made and the council informed by statutory notice. Are you saying that you are not paying the full tax, or indeed any of it, and hence an arrears situation has arisen followed by the council obtaining liability orders?
