  • Default applied to my credit file for a paid debt.

    Hi There

Not the most inspiring of thread titles, but i was recently contacted by a company called Tenron Credit Management. They are chasing a debt on behalf of Kipama (formally mini-credit/micro-credit etc)

Completely out of the blue and i couldn't figure out much about it until they gave me some details on the debt and it turned out i borrowed £80 (eighty) back in October 2012 and a default was registered on March 2013 for around £1070 (one thousand and seventy).

Now before you all think that the extortianate interest is my own doing etc. I checked my statements and it shows i paid back on time 4 days after borrowing it.

Having sent screenshots to Tenron, they are contacting Kipama to track payments etc. At this point I should add that Tenron have been very good to me and dont seem to be evil like some people have made them out to be.
What can i do about this? as a default has shown on my credit file for over 2.5 years and i have been turned down credit recently and wondered why?

Can they just remove it and that'll be the end of it without compensation or an apology?
Is there any action i can take about it?

    Many Thanks in advance
    Louis
