  • PPI impact on overdraft charges

    Hi

We recently looked into our PPI claims and our bank came back and offered over £6k. This obviously means that they are admitting depriving us of at least this amount.

A few years ago we approached the Ombudsman to claim our overdraft charges down the years and they said that the bank had done all it was required to do to help us.

Depriving a family of over £6k obviously puts a strain on finances which then causes, or at the VERY least, exacerbates the amount we had to pay in overdraft charges. So my question is this:

Has anyone approached the Ombudsman with this type of information and what are our chances of winning? To my mind saying that they did all they were required to do is irrelevant if they were also taking money from us when they shouldn't have been doing it in the first place.

    Thanks
