Hello, I have recently check credit report to discover that I have a CCJ which is 5 years old, it was Northumbrian water I think, and it was made at a time when I didn't live at that particular address. I paid the bill a year later when I realised I even had an outstanding one, as I was as a student in joint accommodation. I was wondering is there anyway I can write to Northumbrian water to have it removed? Because it is still down as active and has been the whole time even though I paid it 4 years ago?

Re: CCJ Old
CCJs aren't entered by the creditor like defaults and payment history. They are actually filed by the Registry Trust and entries sometimes say that you can request a Certificate of Satisfaction that would enable them to mark the entry as satisfied. I don't think they will remove the entry before 6 years.
