  • County Court Judgement, set aside?

    Hello,
I recently applied for a mortgage and found out I had two County Court Judgement, CCJ which were issued in Decemeber 2013. This was the first time I had heard of them. I then contacted the court who told me it was registered to my previous address and regarding parking tickets from Parking Eye. The parking tickets had been issued in September 2012. I moved address in July 2012 however and it is my fault I did not change my V5C however my driving license was and remains at my current address. Now I remebered hearing Parking Eye before and trawling through all my paperwork I found out that I had recieved a parking ticket from them in April 2013. The parking ticket in April 2013 came with a Notification of Trace, I promptly paid this ticket. I have since checked my bank account and the money did go so I assume they were separate tickets. However clearly Parking Eye knew in April 2013 I was living at a new address. Furthermore, I also changed my V5C in July 2013 for my new address. So between April and Dece, ber 2013, Parking Eye were aware of my new address however continued to send me all the notificiations of the county court judgements and hearings to my old address not allowing me the opportunity to pay them which I would have done as I have a great fear of debt. What I want to know is do I have a shot at an appeal? I very much want to appeal so I can get a mortgage, what are my chances of setting aside the county court judgements? Hoping to hear from people asap.
    Thanks,
    S xxx
