At last a problem involving me, I run a community group Pulmonary Puffers for people with lung problems, we rented a room from a charity, We are a small group and therefore unable to register as a charity,
we wished to raise the money for room rental by joining the Giving Lottery, but did not have the correct bank account for this, we approached the charity who we rented from and they agreed to allow us to deposit money into their account and it would be ring fenced. After a year we found somewhere more suitable to carry out our exercise, gave the required notice and requested they transfer our funds to a new community account we had opened and supply a final account statement,.This all occurred the 18th May 2026, the terms of the agreement were that funds would be returned within 1 week, we eventually got them 28th June 2026. However we still have not received a final statement of Account even though we have requested it over 6 times in emails and verbally. The sum they returned agrees with the sums we paid in and the rental sums withdrawn, however they do not account for the Giving lottery monies we have earned, it is only a small amount but significant to our group. and advice please
